Demonstrations, lectures, etc. at most meetings presented by professional artists and/or one of our members.
Popular Vote Contest (bring a painting to each meeting to be voted on by the membership, winners receive Asel Art Supply gift certificates). At the May monthly meeting all Popular Vote first place winners will bring their winning painting to be voted on for the Popular Vote of the Year. One 1st Place Award per artist per membership year (September through May).
Members Only Art Show in August at the Hurst Public Library.
Open Juried Art Show annually (site & date to be announced for 2010).
Opportunities to display at local businesses.
"Plein Aire" painting at sites to be announced as they become available.
Anyone 18 years of age or older may join.
Membership dues are as follows:
Individual is $15 annually with a ONE-TIME ONLY $5 initiation fee, as long as there are no lapses in membeship (full voting privileges)
Family is $15 for the first member and $10 for each addition member abiding in the same household plus a $5 inititaition fee for the first member and $5 each for each additional family member abiding in the same household (full voting privileges)
Patron is $30 or more (no voting privileges)
Honorary/Lifetime membership has no fee (full voting privileges)
